This week in Hispanic Heritage Month at YPSW:

• All students are encouraged to show their PRIDE and dress up for our HHM Spirit Week.  Please see the poster below for the theme each day.  As a reminder, students must still adhere to basic dresscode expectations when participating.  If you aren’t sure if your students’ outfit meets the expectations, it’s always a good idea to have them pack their uniform shirt in their backpack.
• All are invited to our first ever Maverick Quince celebration on Friday 10/4 from 6:30-9:00 PM in the cafeteria.  We’ll have a Quince dress fashion show, performances by our very own Folklorico, light refreshments, and a DJ so that we can dance the night away.  Please see below for a very special invitation from the HHM Planning Committee.
• This year’s HHM Shirt ($10) and Sweaters ($20) are now officially on sale.  You can purchase them for your student through our school store by scanning the QR code below, or by sending money with your student and having them purchase it from a student member of Spanish Honor Society.

Esta semana en el Mes de la Herencia Hispana en YPSW:

• Se anima a todos los estudiantes a mostrar su ORGULLO participando en nuestra Semana del Espíritu de la Herencia Hispana. Vea el cartel a continuación para conocer el tema de cada día. Como recordatorio, los estudiantes deben cumplir con las expectativas básicas del código de vestimenta al participar. Si no está seguro de si el atuendo de sus estudiantes cumple con las expectativas, siempre es una buena idea que guarden la camisa del uniforme en su mochila.
• Todos están invitados a nuestra primera celebración de los Quince Maverick el viernes 4 de octubre de 6:30 a 9:00 p. m. en la cafetería. Tendremos un desfile de moda de vestidos de quince, presentaciones de nuestro propio Folklorico, refrigerios ligeros y un DJ para que podamos bailar toda la noche. Vea a continuación una invitación muy especial del Comité de Planificación de la Herencia Hispana.
• La camisa de la Herencia Hispana de este año ($10) y los suéteres ($20) ya están oficialmente a la venta. Puede comprarlos para su estudiante a través de nuestra tienda escolar escaneando el código QR a continuación, o enviando dinero con su estudiante y haciendo que lo compre a un estudiante miembro de la Sociedad de Honor de Español.
