Traffic Procedures for Arrival and Dismissal

ARRIVAL – All students who are arriving to campus by car should be dropped off inside the gate at the Maverick Green. In the morning MS students wait in the gym, and HS students wait in the cafeteria, from 8am – 8:25am.

Students are encouraged to participate in our free breakfast from 8am – 8:25am every day.

Students who arrive at or after 8:30am will receive a tardy pass and demerit in the front office before going to class.

The parking lot in front of the building is reserved for buses and approved student drivers.

YES Prep Southwest staff are not on duty until 8:00am and we discourage families from dropping their students off before this time.

We highly discourage families from dropping off students on Anderson Rd. as this creates traffic and safety hazards. 

DISMISSAL – When waiting for students to dismiss, please do not block any driveways in the surrounding neighborhoods.

Students dismissed to car pick up will wait for families in front of the gym to be picked up at the exit gates.

Southwest will have our School Market the week after Thanksgiving Break and will be distributing free fresh and nutritious food from 9-12pm (or until we run out of food) behind the gym.  Maverick families and all members of the community are welcome.  Our last date of the fall semester will be 12/18.  We will share spring dates when students return from the winter break.
