Principal's Message
Dear Families,
As we prepare for the 2026–2027 school year, I want to take a moment to thank you for your continued partnership and support of our school community. Together, we have built a strong foundation for our students, and I am excited about the opportunities ahead for the coming year.
This year, our focus will center on continued growth in three key areas: student performance, expanded elective opportunities, and deeper community involvement. We remain committed to ensuring that every student is challenged academically, supported socially and emotionally, and provided with opportunities to discover their passions and talents.
In the area of academic performance, we will continue strengthening instruction, maintaining high expectations, and providing students with the support they need to achieve at high levels. Our goal is not only academic success, but also helping students develop confidence, resilience, and the skills needed for their future.
We are also excited to continue growing our elective offerings so students can explore interests beyond the core classroom. Whether through fine arts, technology, leadership opportunities, or other enrichment experiences, we want students to feel connected, engaged, and inspired during their time at school.
Finally, we are committed to strengthening our sense of community. We believe schools are strongest when families, students, and staff work together. Throughout the year, we will continue creating opportunities for family engagement, student celebrations, and meaningful partnerships that make our school a place where everyone feels valued and connected.

About Ms. Sadler
Ms. Sadler is a Louisiana native who relocated to Houston in 2009 after earning a Bachelor of Arts from Louisiana Tech University. She began her career in education as an English teacher at Sharpstown High School, where she served as a department chair and literacy specialist. In 2015, she joined YES Prep as an instructional coach before becoming a founding instructional leader at YES Prep Eisenhower, helping launch the network’s first 1:1 technology initiative and supporting the campus’s achievement of A ratings.
After completing the Summer Principals Academy at Teachers College, Columbia University, Ms. Sadler served as Director of Academics at YES Prep Southside, where she expanded one-to-one programming and cultivated a culture of academic excellence. In 2021, she transitioned to Northbrook Middle School as a resident principal and later became principal. She now proudly serves as the principal of YES Prep Southwest Secondary.
Ms. Sadler’s leadership philosophy centers on creating the conditions for others to thrive. She believes leaders are responsible for removing barriers, providing clarity, and fostering a culture of trust, collaboration, and accountability. Her commitment to YES Prep is rooted in the belief that every student deserves access to a high-quality, nurturing education and the opportunity to reach their full potential. She is proud to serve a community that prioritizes excellence, strong relationships, and the limitless potential of every child.
